Staff cuts at Napa State do more harm than good

It is widely recognized by experts in the field of mental health that adequate staffing ratios are one of the most important factors in reducing violence and injuries.

We hope policymakers will understand that cuts do not always result in lowering costs, and that cuts to clinical staff increase the risk of violence at state hospitals.
