1st Contract Ratified for MultiCare Indigo Urgent Care Providers

After months of bargaining, two informational pickets, and a strike, the Indigo providers have voted to ratify their contract with 71% support. The campaign led to nationwide media including Time Magazine, NPR National, and Bloomberg. Some items in the new contract include:

·  end of day protections

·  percent based compensation increases each year of the contract

·  just cause

·  furlough protections

·  CME preservation

·  professional judgment

·  Seniority

·  union security (everyone pays their share of dues)

UAPD filed several Washington Labor & Industries claims against MultiCare during this campaign. In late January, providers learned that their claims were successful and that MultiCare had been fined $30,000.
