Union representative, Jose Gonzalez met with more than 30 providers at Metropolitan State Hospital to discuss the proposed state contract currently in negotiations to take effect July 2023.
The UAPD and our members talked about fair compensation, essential worker pay, PEPRA, and updating contract language for certain positions.
Dr. Peter Dang, member of the BU-16 bargaining committee, was present to provide further insight into bargaining strategy. UAPD President, Dr. Stuart Bussey, M.D., J.D. and Executive Director, Doug Chiappetta, M.A. also joined the meeting from Northern California via conference line to answer questions from members.
