In the past few months, we have seen this important care facility rocked by employee unrest and doctors and dentists so upset by management action several quit. The ones who remained have voted to establish a union. Nineteen physicians, dentists, nurse practitioners and midwives now constitute a bargaining unit in the Union of American Physicians and Dentists, under the umbrella of the American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees.
