UB Resident Doctors Say They ‘Don’t Feel Valued’ For Their Work

It was a noteworthy week for the more than 800 union-represented resident doctors and fellows at University at Buffalo.

The group, represented by Union of American Physicians and Dentists, held a news conference Wednesday to “alert the community about UB and area hospitals’ refusal to negotiate fair wages and benefits” for the residents.

The news conference came amid “Resident Appreciation Week” at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, which spent the week highlighting medical residents on its social media platforms.
