Message from UAPD President on National Doctors’ Day, March 30

Dear UAPD Colleagues:

As we celebrate National Doctors’ Day, which began in 1933, I want to express my appreciation to all of you for what you have done with your life and career as a doctor. All of us have given so much of our time and effort for the well-being of others and our communities.

The healthcare system has become increasingly industrialized over the past few decades and it has become harder for doctors to use their professional judgment. Your union stands ready to support any and all requests in the enforcement of your contract. This includes better wages and benefits, working conditions, workloads, and resources to do your job properly. This a collaborative effort between our rank and file members, stewards, reps, organizers, and leadership. We are an integrated union. Don’t be afraid to assert yourself for the dignity of all of our docs. Thanks again!

Have a great weekend.

In solidarity,

Stuart Bussey, M.D., J.D.
UAPD President
