On Friday, June 27, 2025, the Union of American Physicians and Dentists joined a coalition of elected officials and community leaders in front of the Ventura County Government Center to publicly declare our unwavering solidarity with immigrant families in the face of unjust federal immigration enforcement.
All individuals, regardless of immigration status, deserve to feel safe in their own community and access healthcare without fear. When immigrant community members are afraid to seek medical care, we see delayed diagnoses, untreated medical conditions, and public health risks that affect the entire community.
The UAPD calls on all healthcare providers to reaffirm their commitment to providing compassionate care to all patients. Our oath to do no harm means we must speak out against policies and actions that harm our patients and communities. We urge our community to support policies and initiatives that protect vulnerable populations. We must continue to advocate for the health and safety of all Ventura County residents.
