Unionized Clinicians at Gardner Health Services Approve One-Year Contract Extension

June 25, 2025

Dentists, nurse practitioners, optometrists, physicians, physician assistants, and podiatrists at Gardner Health Services, represented by the Union of American Physicians and Dentists, have ratified a one-year extension of their current Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) through June 30, 2026, that maintains our members’ existing terms and conditions of employment while securing increased compensation for the next year.

Key Highlights:

  • Contract Duration: One-year extension of the current MOU
  • Wage Increase: 3% across-the-board wage increase for all bargaining unit members
  • Benefits: All current terms, conditions, and benefits remain unchanged
  • Stability: Ensures financial security amid potential uncertainties surrounding federal funding for federally qualified health centers under the current presidential administration

The contract extension ensures continuity of healthcare services and employment stability for unionized clinicians at Gardner Health Services while allowing time for strategic planning regarding future wage adjustments and contract negotiations. This extension provides a foundation for future negotiations while maintaining the benefits and protections established in the current MOU.
