Colorado Springs, CO – The Union of American Physicians and Dentists (UAPD) is holding a press conference on Monday, August 26, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Peak Vista Community Health Center at Academy located at 3207 N Academy Blvd, Colorado Springs, CO 80917 in the southeast corner of the parking lot (corner of West Carefree Circle and Parkmoor Village Drive).
“These doctors went above and beyond for their patients and exceeded our needs. Plain and simple, Peak Vista let greed overrun their egocentric nature and fired these doctors that just wanted to protect themselves and their patients and not have to worry about sacrificing quality care because of adding more to their workload than possible or ethical,” said Alexis Preslar, a Peak Vista patient of nine years.
Patients will be sharing firsthand accounts of how the actions of Peak Vista’s leadership are jeopardizing their health and well-being.
“The impact of the recent provider terminations and resignations is devastating to patient care,” said Dr. Stuart Bussey, UAPD president. “Who is going to care for their patients now that so many have left due to bad management? Management needs to prioritize the health and well-being of the community over profits.”
Patients and the UAPD are calling on Peak Vista to increase their investment in patient care and community health by improving working conditions for all staff.
