The Union of American Physicians and Dentists (UAPD) is calling on members to take immediate action in opposing Governor Gavin Newsom’s proposed California’s budget cuts that will devastate healthcare access across the state.
These cuts could:
- Threaten access to essential healthcare services for thousands of Medicare and Medicaid recipients
- Decrease funding for clinics and hospitals throughout the State of California
- Impact the budgets of the California State University and University of California systems
We urge you to call the Governor’s office at (916) 445-2841 between the hours of 9 AM to 5 PM to express your concerns about the proposed state budget cuts. In addition to calling, please take a moment to join our letter writing campaign to local legislators and urge your elected representatives to oppose these cuts and prioritize the health and well-being of Californians.
