Grievance Settled in San Francisco County

The Union of American Physicians and Dentists (UAPD) filed a grievance with the City and County of San Francisco alleging that three Laguna Honda physicians  were not properly compensated for being on standby during that County’s “black out” period.  After several meetings, Laguna Honda agreed to compensate the three doctors nearly $12,000 for the time they had spent on standby, and notified them in writing that they are not required to be on standby during black out periods in the future. Both the union and the doctors involved  were pleased with the settlement.
