Last year UAPD called on Department of State Hospital (DSH) Physicians to add their names to a petition regarding salary inequities within our bargaining unit. More than 50 doctors responded, and UAPD was able to hand to key members of the administration a document that had been endorsed by nearly every medical doctor working within DSH. Since then, UAPD and DSH Physicians have been meeting with Department of Human Resources (DHR) managers to further discuss the issue. More information, including plans for next actions, will be provided to UAPD members as time goes on. In the meantime, members with questions or ideas are encouraged to contact their labor representative.
