Today UAPD staff members in Oakland delivered a large stack of union authorization cards to the Public Employee Relations Board (PERB), the agency that is charged with administering the collective bargaining statutes that cover UC workers. We believe that there are enough cards in that stack to certify the new union. While it will take some time for PERB to review those cards, and compare them to lists of doctors provided by the employer, UC doctors are on the way to a great victory. UAPD will provide regular updates as we hear back from PERB.
