Santa Cruz Doctors Ratify New Contract

The tentative agreement reached by the UAPD Bargaining Team and Santa Cruz County on October 10, 2013 has been overwhelmingly approved by members.  The contract will go into effect as soon as it is approved by the Santa Cruz Board of Supervisors, who will consider it during their November 5th meeting.

The new agreement, which expires in November 2016, includes two cost of living increases totaling 5%.  The agreement also increases the differential paid to bilingual doctors, protects active health care and augments the scope of the labor management committee.   The agreement contains a smaller concession on retiree health care than what all other Santa Cruz County units agreed to in 2011.
