As part of the UC Union Coalition strategy group, the Union of American Physicians and Dentists (UAPD), stands in solidarity with the 48,000 UAW Academic Workers at the University of California campuses who are striking on Monday, November 14.
The UAW strike is against the university’s unjust actions in bargaining and inability to meet workers’ demands. The fight for a fair UC has gone on long enough. It’s time the university meets the demands of better pay and benefits now for the academic workers who do the majority of teaching and research in the state’s higher education system.
